Community Engagement
Jake Mead for Hillsboro City Council
Staying Engaged and Accessible
Your voice matters to me, and being accessible to each and every constituent is a priority. I will hold monthly coffee chats at different locations across the city, providing an informal setting for discussions, feedback, and concerns. For those who wish for a more formal setting or specific concerns, I will ensure there is an open calendar day, making myself available for one-on-one discussions.

Immediate Priorities
Hillsboro’s growth demands advanced medical infrastructure. A top priority for me will be initiating discussions about building a new hospital to cater to the needs of Hillsboro and the larger Portland Metro community.
Inclusivity and Diversity
Our city is a tapestry of diverse cultures and backgrounds. As a lifelong learner, I pledge to ensure our city’s policies and practices truly reflect the people who live in it. The ethos of inclusivity will be central to every decision made.
Role Models in Public Service
My great grandmother stands tall as my inspiration. She defied the norms of her time, serving as a county recorder for Washington County, and leaving a mark that is still revered today. In my role, I hope to make a lasting impact that continues to honor my family legacy and serve our community.
