Community Engagement
Jake Mead for Hillsboro City Council
Staying Engaged and Accessible
Your voice matters to me, and being accessible to each and every constituent is a priority. I will hold monthly coffee chats at different locations across the city, providing an informal setting for discussions, feedback, and concerns. For those who wish for a more formal setting or specific concerns, I will ensure there is an open calendar day, making myself available for one-on-one discussions.
Handling Disagreements
When it comes to handling disagreements, my approach is rooted in respect and understanding.
At the end of the day, we are all neighbors, and we share the common goal of wanting Hillsboro to succeed. I believe in listening carefully to all perspectives, engaging in open and honest dialogue, and finding common ground where possible. Disagreements are inevitable, but they don’t have to divide us. By focusing on the bigger picture and the needs of our community, I’m confident we can work through differences respectfully and collaboratively, always keeping the best interests of Hillsboro at heart.
